foam midsole with a special soft bedding provides additional effective

cushioning properties in the forefoot area - especially where the foot is

most flexible, at the level of the metatarsophalangeal joints. This helps to

optimally control muscle tension, avoid peak loads with every step and

prevent forefoot problems at the outset.

With the cushioning system we have developed, we address different

physical influences. Above all, the spring constant and the damping

constant are decisive when it comes to decelerating an accelerated

mass to a standstill - and doing so faster than without any influence.

This is especially true for the force peaks that occur most intensely at

the heels during natural gait.

Die Aufgabe, die wir zu lösen hatten, lag darin, die Beschleunigung

The task we therefore had to solve was to significantly reduce the acceleration

of these force peaks - and to do so in relation to the individual

weight. This is demonstrably the case with our SECURA VARIO®

system.

The effect of our SECURA VARIO® system is most comparable to a

shock absorber of a modern car. Our weight-adjusted heel cushioning

influences the musculoskeletal system in such a way that the sinking

Bedingungen und die Spuren der Anstrengung ausgleichen.

Unsere eigens entwickelte Fußklimatechnologie hat als Herzstück

im Inneren eine Brandsohle aus echten Leder. Sie wurde pflanzlich

gegerbt und passt sich der individuellen Fußform geschmeidig an.

Entstehende Feuchtigkeit wird aufgenommen und nach Schichtende

rasch abgegeben.

In vielen Modellen verwenden wir zusätzlich für spezielle Einsatzbereiche

eine wasserdichte, aber hoch atmungsaktive GORE-TEX

Part of the comfort of a safety shoe that is worn for a long time is

the perfect foot climate. The shoe should compensate for changing

climatic conditions and the traces of effort. Our proprietary foot climate

technology has a genuine leather insole at its heart inside. It

has been vegetable tanned and smoothly adapts to the individual foot

shape. Any arising moisture is absorbed and quickly released after

the end of the shift.

In addition, we use waterproof and highly breathable GORE-TEX as

climate membrane in many models.

Zusätzlich sorgen hochwertige Leder- und Mikrofasermaterialien

sowie neue atmungsaktive Funktionsfutter für ein optimales Klima

rund um den Fuß und ein stets trockenes Tragegefühl. Außerdem

reduzieren wir in Entwicklung und Materialforschung kontinuierlich

den Einsatz von Klebstoffen.

In addition, high-quality leather and microfiber materials as well as

new breathable functional linings ensure an optimal climate around

the foot and a wearing feeling of always being dry. We are also continuously

reducing the use of adhesives in development and materials

research.

Auch wenn Sie die Schuhe am liebsten nicht mehr ausziehen

möchten, empfehlen wir, sie in einem gut gelüfteten Raum mit herausgenommener

Einlegesohle regenerieren zu lassen. Noch besser

ist natürlich ein Paar Sicherheitsschuhe zum Wechseln, das beugt

STEITZ Med individuelle Lösungen von der extrabreiten Zehenschutzkappe

über baumustergeprüfte Schuhzurichtungen bis hin zur Versorgung

mit orthopädischen Einlagen und der medizinischen Beratung

und Schulung. Bei der Problemlösung und der Produktentwicklung

wird unser Team unterstützt von Dr. med. Karl Matheis, Facharzt für

Allgemeinmedizin und Arbeitsmedizin. Die Versorgung mit baumustergeprüften

orthopädischen Einlagen kann wahlweise auf Basis der

Dabei stellen wir über ein flächendeckendes Netzwerk von Orthopädieschuhtechnikern

die individuelle Beratung und Anpassung des

konform mit DGUV Regel 112-191 sicher.

DGUV REGEL 112-191… WAS IST DAS?

Die im Mai 2014 in Kraft getretene Änderung der berufsgenossenschaftlichen

Richtlinie DGUV Regel 112-191 besagt, dass bei jeder orthopädischen

Anpassung von Sicherheitsschuhen geprüft werden muss, ob

diese weiterhin den Anforderungen der Norm EN ISO 20345 entsprechen.

Demzufolge müssen orthopädische Zurichtungen exemplarisch von einem

offiziellen Prüfinstitut geprüft und zertifiziert werden. Die Anfertigung

der individuellen Schuhzurichtung erfolgt dann auf Basis einer präzisen

Verarbeitungsvorschrift und unter Verwendung der vom Hersteller

spezifizierten und zugelassenen Aufbaumaterialien und Klebstoffe.

Bei einer Einlagenversorgung muss die orthopädische Einlage ebenfalls

in Verbindung mit dem Schuh geprüft werden. Ein so geprüfter

Einlagen-Rohling kann dann an die individuellen Bedürfnisse des Trägers

angepasst werden.

INDIVIDUELLE ANFERTIGUNGEN

Ist die Serienweite XXB (extra-extrabreit) nicht ausreichend oder wird

eine extreme Breite im Vorfuß benötigt (bspw. bei Fußerkrankungen

wie Hammerzeh oder Hallux valgus), können Schuhe individuell nach

Maß gefertigt werden. Bei der Bestimmung der benötigten Maße ist

Ihnen Ihr Orthopäde, Orthopädie-Schuhmacher oder unser Außendienst

behilflich.

STEITZ MED ENABLES INDIVIDUAL SUPPLY

OF SHOES AND INSOLES

In addition to the four different widths and the weight- and stressadapted

SECURA VARIO® heel shock absorption, STEITZ Med offers individual

solutions, from the extra-wide protective toe cap and type-tested

shoe adjustments to the supply of orthopedic inlays and medical

consulting and training. In problem solving and product development,

our team is supported by Dr. med. Karl Matheis, specialist for general

and occupational medicine. The type-tested orthopedic inlays can optionally

be supplied on the basis of the original insole or with the inlays

of our partners. In this context, we ensure the individual consulting and

adjustment of the shoe inlay system to the needs of the wearer in compliance

with DGUV Rule 112-191 via a comprehensive network of orthopedic

shoe technicians.

DGUV RULE 112-191? WHAT IS THAT?

The modification of the trade association’s directive DGUV Rule112-191,

which has become effective in May 2014, states that in every orthopedic

adjustment of safety shoes, it must be tested if they still comply with

the requirements of the norm EN ISO 20345.

Therefore, orthopedic adjustments must be exemplarily tested and

certified by an official testing institute. The production of the individually

adjusted shoes then follows a precise processing prescription

using the structural materials and glues specified by the manufacturer

and officially authorized.

In case of a supply of inlays, the orthopedic inlay must also be tested in

connection with the shoe. An inlay blank tested like that can then be

adapted to the individual needs of the wearer.

CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS

If the series width XXB (extra- extra wide) is not sufficient or if an extreme

width is needed in the forefoot (e. g. in case of foot diseases like

hammer toe or hallux valgus), shoes can be custom-made individually.

you to determine the required measures.

GORE-TEX steht seit vielen Jahren für Expertise in puncto Klimakomfort.

Das Geheimnis des Erfolgs steckt im Inneren: Dort sperrt

die GORE-TEX Membrane, deren Poren 20.000 mal kleiner sind als ein

Wassertropfen, die Feuchtigkeit einfach aus. Und da die Poren 700

mal größer sind als die Moleküle von Wasserdampf, lassen sie diesen

nach außen entweichen. Dies macht unsere Sicherheitsschuhe dauerhaft

wasserdicht und sorgt bei jedem Wetter für einen hohen

Klimakomfort.

Die Wasserdichtigkeit wird übrigens in bis zu 300.000 Flexbewegungen

über 80 Stunden lang überprüft. Das ist das zehnfache des in

der Norm EN ISO 20344 verlangten Wertes. Ein weiteres Merkmal ist

die Chemikalienbeständigkeit, hier orientiert sich GORE-TEX an Alltagschemikalien,

die AFFF-Löschschaum (3%), Schwefelsäure

H2SO4 (37%), Diesel und Natronlauge NaOH (30%) enthalten.

GORE-TEX has stood for expertise in climate comfort for many years.

The secret of success lies within: there, the GORE-TEX membrane,

whose pores are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, simply

locks out moisture. And since the pores are 700 times larger than the

molecules of water vapor, they allow it to escape to the outside. This

makes our safety shoes permanently waterproof and ensures a high

climate comfort in any weather.

By the way, the water resistance is tested in up to 300,000 flex movements

for over 80 hours. This is ten times the value required by the EN

ISO 20344 standard. Another feature is chemical resistance, here GO-

RE-TEX is oriented to everyday chemicals, which include AFFF firefighting

foam (3%), sulfuric acid H2SO4 (37%), diesel and caustic

soda NaOH (30%).

DIE PSA-VERORDNUNG MACHT

SICHERHEIT SICHTBAR

Die EU definiert in ihrer PSA-Verordnung EU 2016/425 drei Risikokategorien,

die jeweils unterschiedlichen Verfahren der Konformitätsbewertung

unterliegen. Es wird zwischen folgenden Risikogruppen unterschieden:

KATEGORIE I

Dieser Kategorie werden Produkte zum Schutz vor geringen Risiken

zugeordnet. Bei diesen Produkten geht der Hersteller davon aus, dass

der Nutzer die Schutzfunktion der PSA selbst einschätzen kann.

KATEGORIE II

Hier spricht man von Produkten, die einen Standard-Schutz vor mechanischen

Risiken bieten, z. B. Arbeitsschutzhelme, Gehörschutz oder

Sicherheitsschuhe.

KATEGORIE III

Kategorie III umfasst alle Produkte, die vor tödlichen Gefahren und

irreversiblen Gesundheitsschäden schützen. Die PSA dieser Risikogruppe

schützt gegen Gefährdungen, die der Nutzer nicht selbst einschätzen

kann. Beispielsweise Risiken aggressiver Chemikalien, der

Einatmung schädlicher Stoffe oder schädlicher Lärm. Auch Schnittverletzungsrisiken

beim Betreiben von Sägen zählen hierzu.

Die Sicherheitsschuhe und Berufsschuhe von STEITZ SECURA entsprechen

alle dem Schutz vor Risiken der Kategorie II, einige spezielle

Modelle sogar der Kategorie III. Darunter befinden sich zum Beispiel

Feuerwehrstiefel oder Schuhe mit eingearbeitetem Schnittschutz.

MAKES SAFETY VISIBLE

In its PPE Regulation EU 2016/425, the EU defines three risk categories,

each of which is subject to different conformity assessment procedures.

A distinction is made between the following risk groups:

CATEGORY I

Products for protection against low risks are assigned to this category. For

these products, the manufacturer assumes that the user can evaluate the

protective function of the PPE himself.

CATEGORY II

Here we are talking about products that provide standard protection

against mechanical risks, e.g. work protecting helmets, hearing protection

or safety shoes.

CATEGORY III

Category III includes all products that protect against lethal hazards

and irreversible damage to health. The PPE in this risk group protects

against hazards that the user cannot assess himself. For example, risks

of aggressive chemicals, inhalation of harmful substances or harmful

noise. This also includes cutting damage risks when operating saws.
