With Spring approaching, hair & beauty trade fairs are moving up
a gear and leading the way towards boosting business, so it is
the right time for the latest of Estetica Best in Export!
Despite some lingering political and economic crises around the
world, we can look at our industry with a degree of optimism.
Most markets have not only recovered to pre-pandemic levels,
but appear to be still growing. Recently, China finally came back
into the fold by opening its borders to business travellers and
authorising exhibitions to resume, thus attracting large numbers
of exhibitors and visitors after a long period of inactivity. It goes
without saying that China is both a major manufacturer as well
as one of the most important consumer markets, especially for
high-level international brands. Hair & beauty fairs are enjoying a wave of enthusiasm as potential
exhibitor and visitor numbers continue to grow – and it’s an optimism that reaches out to every
continent: from Bologna to Istanbul, from Singapore to the USA.
For those who follow economic global trends, there was another pleasant surprise at the beginning
of 2023. While the last trimester of 2022 was characterised by a double digit spike in inflation, the
International Monetary Fund has given a brighter outlook in its latest January report, predicting that
inflation will slow down and that European economies had shown more resilience than expected.
The report said: “Global inflation is expected to fall from 8.8% in 2022 to 6.6% in 2023 and 4.3% in
2024.”
The fund does not expect global GDP to shrink, and IMF chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas said
that “we’re well away from any sort of global recession marker.”
Nevertheless, the rise in central banks rates to fight inflation and Russia’s war in Ukraine continue to
weigh on economic activity. The road back to a full recovery with sustainable growth, stable prices and
progress for all has only started! Economic growth proved surprisingly resilient in the third quarter of
last year, with strong labour markets, robust household consumption, and also business investment,”
concluded the report.
In this encouraging new scenario, we can expect our already-growing industry to enjoy even better
opportunities to thrive in the future. Coupled with fewer travelling restrictions and more countries
reopening their markets, there are so many people who are eager to travel and live new experiences,
as well as all those events designed specifically to support manufacturers and importers in their
effort to reach new promising markets. More than ever, exportation will be the driving force for the
growth of our industry, just as it has been in recent decades.

2018, as a start-up of the Lisap group, which

S.p.A, a long-established manufacturer of

share by launching a new brand with a different
positioning from the established Lisap brand,

closures and lockdowns and tailors the brand
to meet them. The idea of offering a compact
range of products, which until a few months
ago was considered a liability, has become a
major plus, as it allows partners to have a

Competitive and straightforward products
boasting modern, high-performance claims
and formulas are launched, even if this means
raising the price positioning of the products,
an operation apparently at odds with the
demands of a market in crisis. This leads to
the creation of the Perfect No Yellow and
Perfect Moisture treatments and 10 Levels
bleaches line.
THE COMMUNITY
Last but not least, DCM stylists in the different
countries where the brand is distributed
formed a community and the brand's Education
Triennale. The abbreviation DCM has become
its signature, flaunted in bold, brightly coloured
letters. Unfortunately, the excellent premises
have to deal almost immediately with the
impact of the pandemic on the market. What
could have been a fatal moment for the newly
founded Diapason Cosmetics, becomes
instead a great opportunity. Sponsored by
Lisap's new CEO, the baton of the start-up was
handed over to Giorgio Milani (General
Manager) who put together a new team of
young hair stylists and creative graphic
designers to redefine the project and its
values. Stylists eagerly welcome the
opportunity to create and develop products
that are a must in their salon: products that
allow them to "play" with hair, offering the
latest fashionable services. The designers put

CUSTOMIZATION
All Tecno Dry products can be customized
according to the customer’s needs; it is
therefore possible to design and create a
specially made product focusing the attention
on a personalized marketing, with the aim
to target the market segment identified by
the Customer. Customization can refer just
to graphics and aesthetics by adding the
customer’s logo on the product, but it can
also involve inner components, in order
to satisfy the end user requests. During
the customization process, it is of utmost
importance to remember that the specific
