Im März 1998 sorgte ein ganz

besonderer Gast für einen Massenauflauf

an Paparazzi und

Fans vorm Haupteingang des

Bayerischen Hof. Und das nicht

zum ersten Mal: Unter dem

Namen „Mr.King“ hatte sich

Michael Jackson mit seiner Entourage

bereits im Juli 1997 für

drei Tage in mehrere Suiten des

Palais Monteglas eingebucht.

Und beide Male sorgte das

natürlich für reichlich Wirbel.

Die Sonderwünsche des „King

of Pop“ waren jedoch überraschend

unaufgeregt: Blumen, ein

Luftbefeuchter, 24 Dosen Fanta,

Schweizer Käse. Die größte Herausforderung

bestand vielmehr

However, the special requests

of the “King of Pop“ were surprisingly

unagitated: flowers,

a humidifier, 24 cans of Fanta,

Swiss cheese. The biggest challenge

was rather to ensure the

und die seither als Pilgerstätte

und beliebtes Fotomotiv dient.

serves as a pilgrimage site and

popular photo motif.
